This is based on the common reason that the cigarette being smoked contains a harmful substance that is absorbed directly into the bloodstream hence putting you at risk.

Your age is also a factor to the contracting of this ailment. Thus, the risk of this disease goes up as the age advances. Thus, if you are old, the chances of the diagnosis are also high. For instance, the average ages of men who are diagnosed are those above 55 years. Thus, constant screening is necessary if you are within this age bracket.

AIDS also increases the risk of the condition. That is because AIDS weakens the immune system of a person. Once you have a weak immune system, you become susceptible to numerous health conditions. Your body is also weak to fight ailments.

Hence to avoid the risk, ensure that you get constant screening to check if you are in order. Also, avoid getting into harmful habits such as smoking as they increase the probability of the condition. Also, avoid unprotected sex especially with multiple sexual partners.
