It is way too much of a hassle for one violation.

If you have to drive, then do not drink. This is a simple enough rule but somehow, people do tend to have a hard time getting this followed. If you think that you cannot really avoid drinking when driving, make sure that you do it smartly. Also, keep your drinking to the minimum.

Make sure that you are driving a vehicle that is in such a good working order too. You need to be sure that the unit is going to be properly working before you will actually decide to get it driven around town. Prepare your credentials as well. Among the things that you need to have handy include your license, the insurance, your car registration and such other pertinent papers.

Obey the traffic rules as well. As long a you will keep your part of obeying the regulation that you are suppose to follow when you are on the street, you should be able to stay out of trouble. Plus, the officers won't have any reason to flag you down since you are actually following the regulations that they have set.

It is helpful too, that you are aware of there are possible check points that will be conducted in your area. On the day where you will be tasking the car with you check the newspapers. Scheduled checkpoints are often published here. This allows you to get the right preparation due to make sure that you will be able to avoid getting flagged down by the officers around.
