She then applies for a job and luckily gets employed in a top ranking company where her income is satisfactory. All these credits have come her way since she has always been a law abiding citizen. Is it really fair for such a person to be deported?
They were rightly called dreamers because they really are, and it is only prudent if they are assisted to achieve their desires. Their hope is to develop their careers in the US, their homeland. That is the nation whose language, culture and policies they understand. It does not come to their imagination that one day someone will arise to send them away.
His Excellency was thus right to declare affirmative action for them. Nevertheless, this was just a preliminary step. The next step, which is more crucial, should be to accept the dreamers fully as Americans. The renewal of their status every two years has to be a thing of the past. To put things plainly, it is unfair to treat a human being as if they are being favored when they clearly have nowhere else to go. Only future immigrations of the same nature can be managed to avoid a repeat of this same scenario.
They might have come from various corners of the globe but they have one thing in common; they share the American dream; that of making this wonderful nation the best in the world. America can only pay them back by according them the treatment they deserve. They need to be considered as legal Americans without any conditions.
At times a number of them do break the law. They should not be made as a justification to purge the rest who are innocent. Man is to error and an errant man should be left to carry his cross alone. Otherwise, if every law breaker was to be chased away then there would be a world crisis. America should therefore offer exemplary leadership by safeguarding human rights.
