Where To Find The Best Online Job Posting

There are a number of different job posting boards online. Whether looking for part-time, full-time or work-at-home jobs, it can often be difficult to determine which is the best online job posting site. Generally, the ones which have been online the longest are most likely going to have the most postings.

For the career minded, sites like Dice, Indeed and Monster are often the best bets for finding higher paying career oriented positions. Whereas, sites like craigslist, SimplyHired and Yahoo Jobs are often better for jobs which pay minimum or just over minimum wage. If there is a local entertainment guide or newspaper in the area, most will host an online classified section which often includes a number of job listings.

Unfortunately, while there used to be far more job oriented websites, most have now merged with others. Although, the two biggest are still Monster and CareerBuilder. Whereas, there are also now dedicated sites focused on specific careers such as those in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Students and recent graduates often find a number of opportunities on CollegeRecruiter and other school related sites.

Those considered part of a minority group may want to check out sites like DiversifyJobs and others. Beyond these, there are several sites which are based on membership. These sites are often related to professional careers such as CPAs, doctors, lawyers and professors and provide listings for a nominal membership fee.

LinkedIn, while not actually a professional job board does offer some individual job postings. In addition, members can connect with contacts to learn of any open opportunities in various organizations. By using this service, individuals can often get first notice of any job openings at target companies. After which, the individual can connect with the contact to find out more about the position before filing an application for employment.

Two of the best small sites are SimplyHired and Indeed which offer a number of contract and temporary job postings. Freelance employees may want to check out sites like freelance or ifreelance dot com. Whereas, those wishing to work on small independent projects regardless of pay may want to check out sites like fiver dot com and others.

Still, whether looking for a lifetime career or part-time job, these sites can often be beneficial in helping job seekers. Many of these organizations also provide tables at local job fairs. As such, it often pays to peruse local listings for career and job fairs as many employers often interview and hire on the spot at these events.

Whether working at home or away, it is important that individuals be detail oriented, dependable and work well with others. In some cases, it will be necessary that an individual be able to work independently or as part of a team. Whatever the case, it is always important to follow company policies and guidelines while presenting oneself in a professional manner.
