The real estate industry is made up of building structures that are designed for a wide variety of purposes. Three main classifications of structural building use are those in the commercial, residential and industrial spheres. Buyers of homes often use the services of certified home inspection Alpharetta type specialist to assist them in the home buying process. This includes those in Atlanta, GA.

Residential property is frequently categorized into three main groupings. These three groups of categories are condominiums, detached homes and row style housing units. Each of these three groups consists of a myriad of varying structures. Detached homes, for example, may be built with two or three levels in each unit. Some are found on flat land. Others are situated in elevated areas with great scenic views of the surrounding areas.

Town homes are often less expensive than similar sized single family homes. They are linked to surrounding home structures by common retaining walls which are insulated to reduce noise pollution between the individual units. Often referred to as row houses, they are constructed as individual homes clustered together in blocks. Each block may have any number of individually linked units.

Condominiums are also sought after housing stock. Many are built on one level only. Others may be situated in building structures that are two or more stories high. Built in clusters, the individual units are designed and constructed with varying styles. They often have common areas such as building entrances and elevators used by all the occupants. Many of these condominium types are rented to tenants by the owners.

A wide cross section of varying businesses, contractors and individuals specialize in some way in real estate dealings. Mortgage companies, attorneys, settlement clerks, insurance companies and a host of other specialized entities and small businesses make their living in this industry. Real estate agents who represent homeowners and buyers are central actors in transactions that result in settlement whereby transfer of ownership takes place.

When lodgings related sellers and buyers agree to do business, contracts are signed by both parties. These contracts frequently have clauses to protect both sides. Buyers frequently and wisely write into the contracts they sign, certain contingencies. These clauses allow them to withdraw from signed contract agreements without penalty if the properties they want to buy are in unsatisfactory condition and no agreement can be reached by both sides to remedy them.

Home inspectors are hired by buyer clients to ascertain the true condition of the properties they want to buy. This does not mean that the properties have always got to be in the best shape possible. Many buyers are willing to buy distressed properties if the price is right. However, in the event that problems are found and negotiations on adjusting sales prices cannot be reached, buyers can then pull out of the deals without being penalized.

The residential property market is made up of detached homes, town houses and condominiums. There are many different specialized interested parties involved in transactions that result in change of ownership of property between buyers and sellers. Home inspection contingencies protect buyers by allowing them to avoid buying properties with unresolved structural and operational issues.
