This includes things such as mobile phone chargers, battery chargers and even chargers for cordless drills and other such items. These are also some things that will continue to use electricity even if you don't have them hooked up to the item you are charging. So again, before you go on vacation make certain you unplug all of these different types of items that you may have in your house.

You should also recognize that if this is the summer time, while you are taking your vacation you ought to turn off your hot water heater. Obviously, in case you are vacationing in the winter months you'll have to leave your hot water heater on if you are using hot water for heating your home. You can needless to say still save on fuel or electricity by lowering the temperature in your home in case you are not going to be there for awhile.
