The rise of modern technological advancements has been very beneficial for humankind. It has made everything easier, faster, and more comfortable, especially when it comes to travel from one place to the other. One such example is the aircraft. This mode of transportation has changed the way people get from place to place, forever.

Though experts often say again and again that these modes of travel are in no way more dangerous than the conventional ones, one really cannot help but still feel a bit overwhelmed. The occurrence of consecutive plane crashes has not helped at all, which has led to the public doubting the safety of air travel. To solve this dilemma, most aviation authorities have decide to bring air safety to a whole new level, especially with the stricter rules regarding the use of led obstruction lights.

These also come by the name aircraft warning lights. These are high intensity lighting materials that are affixed to tall structures. They are placed so as to serve as some form of collision avoidance measures. They are used all day, most especially when it gets dark, so as to warn pilots of the existence of the said structure.

Aside from these lights, there are also some other materials that are made to do more or less the same purpose. Discounting the presence of obstruction lights, other markers such as colored patterns and flags can be placed on the topmost portions of skyscrapers. The flags are to be placed in numbers around the highest point of a very tall building. The patterns are often composed of rectangles that are no more than three meters in size, and no less than 1.5 meters, even.

The lamps, on the other hand, are only placed on top of the highest points in infrastructures. These lights are supposedly placed in well thought of areas, according to their classification. The low intensity ones are those that should be placed in heights that does not exceed the set height of about forty five meters. These are characterized by red lights of no less than ten candelas in intensity.

The medium intensity is the second classification. They are used when the object is extensive and the height above the ground is more than 45 meters. Type A lamps of this intensity display a white color. These white lamps should have a minimum intensity of about two thousand candelas.

The last group is called the high intensity. They are used in dizzying heights of one hundred and fifty meters or more. Like the medium group, these lights are also colored white. They should have the standard minimum intensity of two thousand candelas. Some infrastructures use lamps with a higher number of intensity, even.

These warning lights can use a wide array of bulbs. As of late, LEDs are getting all the raves. The Light Emitting Diodes, as they are more formally known, can overpower any type of bulb in existence. In fact, they are even more effective in a lot of ways as compared to the fluorescent and incandescent types.

The types of bulbs are also believed to have longer life span as compared to the others. One LED bulb can last up to sixty thousand hours of usage. They are also widely used for their energy efficient characteristics, as they allow energy savings for up to ninety percent.
