Minnesota Criminal Records are issued by any of the law enforcing agencies of the state given that an individual has violated the state or national laws. Such document is considered as a public file which means that the residents of Minnesota can request it anytime it is needed.

In order to request for a copy of a criminal record in Minnesota, one has to prepare $8 per copy but the mail request can cost higher up to $15. It is important to have the basic information of the file that is being requested. One can give the name of the person and the date when the record was generated. The state of Minnesota only allows an individual to request their personal files but a notarized authorization can be presented in order to be granted access to the files of other individuals.

One can request for the criminal record in Minnesota at the office of the Department of Public Safety. It can be done personally or by sending a mail request to the office. The results of the mail request can be sent after a while. However, long wait time can be avoided if the request is done online.

The development of the Internet has allowed the residents of Minnesota to request for a copy of a public criminal record. This method is faster and easier than any other methods there is. The needed information or document can be requested even without leaving home and the information is obtained in seconds instead of hours.
